"jkm7680" (jkm7680)

This is the stock one. It's sorta beat up and I'd like something new. Any suggestions? It's a 1997 A4. Under $150 would be the preference.
I'd like to hear what Oppo thinks!

It's pretty, but expensive, and it's an Audi.

Ha, I already got it. One step ahead, Hur hur.
Knowing myself, I'd actually do that. Porsche makes some nice knobs.

Oh, that sure is pretty. I've always loved the looks of the interior of the TT. I also looked into the Rs4 knobs, but I've got a 5spd.

I like weighted knobs if you dont have a short throw.

Nope. My "Old" A4 was a 2008 model.
My "New" A4 is a 1997 Model.

Cobb has a nice one and if you are getting a ne knob you should get a gated setup from an R8

So do you have both?

I need a new one as well. No idea what to get. I don't want it to be any taller than what I have now

Not anymore. A family member was interested in giving me a more than fair price on my B7 so I went for it.
All that means is that I get to spend more on modifications, and save for a new motorcycle also.

I've never been accused of having good taste.
Maybe get some flames for your car while you are at it.

Yeah, Height also could be an issue. I don't want a low, or funny feeling shift knob. Come to think of it, I need a new boot also.

Yeah same. Mines terrible. A lot of money for both though. Don't know if I can justify it lol.

Honestly, not all that much. My first car was a 97 Jetta Gt and the 97 A4 I really can connect with more.

Yeah, Their stuff is nice. But it's a bit pricey. I'd also need a short shifter? Do you know if I can pull it off without one?

Haha, It just feels more like I'm in control. Only down side is that my 97 A4 isn't turbo.

Why would you need a short shifter? Do Audi shifters not take aftermarket shift knobs?
Mine fit onto my stock shifter.

No, I read something on their website about it needing a short shifter or something like that.

There's a 1.8 A4 of your generation in my neighborhood. Then there is also a 2003 (generation) 3.2 in black. And a new S4!

Awesome, I love Audi literate neighborhoods! The 1.8T was a pretty good engine, except I'd rather go with the 2.8.
I'm super jelly over the B8 S4 though, B8.5 also.

My neighborhood is becoming Audi controlled. BMW and Audi are the main two. http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/zee-germans-15…

Damn, nice neighborhood!
There's at least five Teslas in my parents neighborhood. One roadster, four Model S. There's about 1,000,000 teal Civics in mine, Haha.

The Teslas haven't made their way to my neighborhood yet. Others around me do, but not mine yet. There is a 135i convertible. I like that more than the 650i convertible actually.
